Goal
Rethinking the image of a museum or independent gallery seeking to attract a new audience. The space could be real or fictional. The assignment was to create a branding system that conveys accessibility, creativity, and curiosity, and to develop an advertising campaign.
Several deliverables were required: a logo with a brand identity system, typography and color palette, graphic language (icons, illustrations, layout), and a campaign poster.

Concept
How about a museum dedicated to weeds? I decided to highlight these plants, which are so often demonized even though they offer many unknown benefits. To highlight the theme of this fictional museum, I chose bright, vibrant colors with black for contrast, along with organic shapes to represent them. The museum is named “Long Live Weeds” to add a touch of humor and appeal that makes people want to learn more about these plants.
I chose to create a logo that varies with the different illustrations of weeds. Accompanying the museum’s creation is a system of posters, a landing page with essential information about the museum, and signage indicating where the garden is located, for example.
To round it all out, I designed seed-planting cards. Each card features a different plant, and visitors would receive advice at the museum on which one to choose for their outdoor space based on its benefits. And to ensure visitors leave with souvenirs, I created some merchandise.

Fun fact
I discovered lots of plants this week, and especially the benefits of weeds. I don't see them the same way anymore!
